29.04.2003 Orange Slovensko has launched Mobilethink Terminal Management Platform
The leading Slovakian telecommunications service provider has now launched Mobilethink's software platform for over-the-air configuration of mobile phones.
The Slovakian mobile operator Orange Slovensko is using the Terminal Management Platform to help customers correctly configure their mobile phones for WAP, GPRS and MMS services on the Orange network.
Many subscribers who have WAP and MMS phones are not using the services simply because they do not know how to configure these services on their handsets. The Terminal Management Platform makes it possible for the operator to distribute self-service interfaces, which allow their customers to configure their phones with just a few clicks on a website, and to provide their customer care staff with an efficient tool to handle remote configuration of mobile phones. Configurations are sent over-the-air and just have to be saved on the phone in order to work.
Orange Slovensko is the largest mobile telecommunications services provider in Slovakia with more than 1,700,000 active customers.
